Bucket Peak - Peak Worship for Students Bucket Summer 2008 - Summer 2008, Youth Bucket Emerge Website - Emerge, sidebar Bucket Fred Blog - Fred's blog, bucket

Peak is our worship and community environment for high school and middle school students on Wednesdays from 6:15 pm to 7:45 pm in the Family Life Center (FLC). Come after school to play basketball, video games, ping-pong, or just to hang out with your friends. We also serve pizza and drinks from the café all afternoon. If you want to experience God in a fresh, relevant way and get connected with people your age, then the Peak is the place for you!

For more info about the Peak Program contact Fred Starnes @ or in the office at 229-6010 x236.

FAQ'S:

What happens during the Peak Program? The Family Life Center (FLC) opens up after school. All students are welcome to come play basketball, ping-pong, billiards, video games, or just hang with friends. We also have a designated area for homework. The Peak program begins at 6:15 pm with a time of great music, games, videos, and teaching designed to help you better understand God's word. After 45 minutes of large group time, students dismiss to C-Groups with students their same age and gender to discuss the nights topic. The Peak Program ends at 7:45 pm.

What are C-Groups?  C-Group stands for Community Group. The purpose of C-Groups is to help students make relational connections with their peers and caring adults for the purpose of life change. After the large group time, students dismiss to C-Groups with students their same age and gender to discuss the night's topic and to talk about what is going in their lives. If you decide to join a C-Group, you will meet with the same people each week - making friendships with other Christians who will help you grow in your relationship with God. For more info on C-Groups, click here.

What if I do not want to join a C-Group?  We do not force anyone to join C-Groups; although, we stongly encourage students to join a C-Group because C-Groups are where relational ministry takes place. If you do not want to join a C-Group, then you have sereral options: 1) we have a meeting during C-Group time in the Peak Cafe called "in:Fuse" for new students and students who are not in a C-Group, 2) if you drove yourself to Peak, then you can leave during C-Group time, or 3) you can arrange to have your parents pick you up around 7:00 pm (the large group time usually ends around 7:00 pm -give or take 5 minutes).

How can I get more involved in the Peak Program?  The first step to get more inolved in the Peak Program is joining a C-Group. By joining a C-Group, you will make relational connections with peope your age and with a caring adult. C-Groups also get together outside of the Peak Program just to hang out and have fun together. The next step to get more involved in the Peak Program is serving on one of our various volunteer teams.

You can serve on one of the following volunteer teams:

  • Peak Leadership Team (Youth Council)
  • Recreation Team
  • Host Team
  • Cafe Team
  • Production Team
  • Community Group Team (Adults only)

For more info about the various volunteer teams contact Fred @

What is Student Impact?  Student Impact is the Commissioning Team (missions) environment for middle school and high school students. At North Side Bapist church we believe that students play an important role in the contemporary church. We challenge students to make a positive impact on the world around them at three different levels: 1) the church, 2) the community, and 3) the world. Students can make an impact by serving on various iTeams. For more info about Student Impact and iTeams, click here.
