Student Impact is the missions enironment for students at North Side Baptist Church (NSBC). We do not believe that students are the future of the church; we believe that students are a vital part of the contemporary church. We challenge students to make an impact on the world around them at three levels: 1) the church, 2) the community, and 3) the world. Students can serve by joining Impact Teams (iTeams) which serve in various environments within NSBC and ministries in the community.

Short Term Mission Trips
"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" (Rom. 10:14-15 NIV)
At Northside baptist we desperately seek to share the love of Christ with the surrounding community; we also take Jesus' command to make disciples of all the nations (Matt. 28:19) very seriously. People all over the world have yet to hear the name of Jesus Christ. Paul asked the church in Rome, "How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in?" Jesus has left us with the responsibility to take his name to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8). God has used young people throughout history to change the world! How will you impact your world!
In the past students from NSBC have served on short term mission trips in cities in USA (Mobile, AL; Chicago, IL; Ocean City, MD) and in other countries such as Romania, Brazil, China, Japan, and Ecuador.

Long Term Mission Trips
If you have a heart for missions, you may want to consider serving on a long-term mission trip. Organizations such as the International Mission Board provide assistance to students and adults who desire to serve for a summer, semester, one to two years, or even a lifetime. Students from NSBC have served on long-term mission trips in places such as Africa, Japan, and Indonesia.
