Hi, I'm John McFadden, and I've been at North Side since February of 2000. I am the primary writer of the C-group curriculum for each LifeFocus. I started my writing journey with skits that we used in worship to set up Jeff's messages. It's pretty wild that those skits led to materials used by our C-groups for spiritual growth. As they say, "who woulda' thunk it"?
It is really ironic that the person I work most closely with is Jamie
Parler. Jamie has endured the misfortune of being a Gamecock fan while I, on the other hand, have been empowered by being a lifelong Tiger fan. But seriously, folks, Jamie and I work closely on the study materials. It is our desire what we do would draw everyone into a closer relationship with our heavenly Father. I graduated from Anderson College (in the dark ages when it was a junior college), East Texas Baptist College, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I've served churches in South Carolina, Texas, and Alabama. I've been married to Debbie (a proud Texas A&M Aggie) for 28 years. We have two children: Allison, who lives in Anderson, and Michael, who lives in Columbia. Debbie and I share our house now with Cinnamon, our dog, and Shadow, our cat.
