Who is Jamie Parler?
Hey there, my name is Jamie Parler. I am the Community Pastor here at North Side Baptist Church. I am Jennifer’s husband, Elliott’s dad, and for some reason we have five cats to round out our family. Before joining the staff here at North Side in January of 2005, I worked with PLACE Ministries in Atlanta, and prior to that spent 12 years in corporate sales. I currently am working on my seminary degree.
I am a drummer (who still can’t play "Rosanna"), alleged golfer, and a long suffering Gamecock fan (is this next year?). I like to cook and then go out to eat after I burn it. I am passionate about helping people and truly believe that God has a plan for every person who will seek him. Oh yeah, one more thing, by the grace of God, I fought cancer and won.
At the time of this writing, my favorite verse that I like to encourage people with is Proverbs 3:5&6. Don’t ever forget, that as a child of God, you are always in the palm of His hand. Trust Him and allow Him to direct to your path. He knows what He’s doing!
