Hey Ya'll:
I'm Heather and as you can tell from my greeting, I am a huge fan of Paula Deen and the Food Network. I wish I could say I was as good a cook as my idols on the show but such is not the case (just ask the Praise Band about my chocolate ice cream disaster). It has been my privilege to be the Director of Preschool Ministries at North Side since July 2003.
My husband is John (the cute, curly headed, left-handed guitar player in the Praise Band) who is the Library Director at Erskine College and I am Mother to Bridget and Autumn (yes- TWINS). I love to do crafts and my favorite food is anything chocolate!
I graduated from Charleston Southern University in 1991 with a BA in Speech and Dramatic Arts. Jamie Parler (Community Pastor) and I have been friends since we were in middle school together back in Columbia, SC and both graduated from CSU.
My degree may be in Speech, but the Lord truly showed me my passion after having my girls - Preschoolers. There is just something so exciting about sharing the love of Jesus to preschoolers each week. If anyone asks me how many children I have I say, "My husband and I have two, but the Lord has blessed me with 100 I can love on each Sunday!"
