Introducing North Side University

North Side University is a six week series of classes that will begin on Sunday evenings in the summer.  North Side University is designed to equip every member of North Side in the foundational truths mentioned above.  It is a teaching time.  It is not a "new members" class.  It is for anyone and everyone.

Class Descriptions:

The Doctrine of Salvation: Jeff Lethco - Chapel

You can afford to make all kinds of mistakes in life.  You can buy the wrong car, attend the wrong school, invest in the wrong market, even marry the wrong person and still get by with it.  But there is one mistake that is fatal.  The one thing that none of us can afford to be wrong about is our salvation.  After pastoring for 24 years, I am still amazed at how confused and misguided many life long church members are when it comes to this issue of salvation.  This course, "The Doctrine of Salvation," will examine what the scriptures clearly teach in regards to salvation.  Out text will be the book of Romans and our intent will be to  help each student reach a level of scriptural understanding that provides peace and assurance in regards to his or her own spiritual standing before God.

How to Read the Bible for All It's Worth: A Class in Hermeneutics: Travis Agnew - Auditorium

When I was in college, there was a classthat changed my life forever. It was called hermeneutics.  While it is acomplex name, it basically means how to understand the Bible.  Have youever struggled through a passage wondering how it relates to your life? Do you ever steer clear of certain confusing books?  Have you ever wantedto go deeper into truly understanding the Bible?  If so, this class is foryou.  By the end of this class, you will have certain tools that will helpyou interpret and apply the Bible better.

Finding your PLACE in life and ministry: Jamie Parler - Green Room

Have you everwondered why you are the way you are? I have.  Have you everstruggled with comparing yourself to others?  I'm guilty too. Do you know in your mind that God created you for a reason but you haveno clue what it is?  If you wantanswers to some of these types of questions, this is the class for you.  This class forever changed mylife!  It grew my confidence andGod used this program to confirm my call into ministry.  To say I have a passion for PLACE is anunderstatement.  Though we had aWaypoint conference last March, we have never offered the class in itsentirety.  If you have done a PLACEassessment already or if this is brand new to you, I hope you will join me aswe identify your personality, gifts, strengths, and abilities. Let me help youfind your PLACE in life and ministry.
