Ramadan Prayer Guide
Every year, Muslims around the world celebrate Ramadan, a month long period for fasting during the daylight hours. This is one of the five pillars of Islam and is meant to celebrate when Muhammad supposedly received the Quran (the Muslim holy book) from Allah. Every Muslim is expected to participate in the fast except for the elderly, pregnant, or children as this is one of the main ways Muslims believe they can gain eternal life.
We want to invite you to pray with our Muslim friends. Pray for their salvation, that they may see that this work is not the path to heaven. Pray that Jesus might be revealed and cherished as Savior and Lord among them and that God might receive praise for his great salvation.
This prayer guide is specifically designed for the Hausa People Group, the largest people group in Africa, and one of the largest in the world. The Hausa people are 99.9% Muslim and have little Gospel witness among them. There are around 30 million Hausa people in the world.
Each day this guide will give you a specific place, people, or project that is specifically related to Hausa people. It is our hope that through this resource and the prayers of His people that many among the Hausa tribe might repent and believe in the name of Jesus and be saved, “for there is no other name under heaven given among men that we might be saved” (Acts 4:12).
